Ram Selection Day: How does it work?
In 2011, LAMBPRO made the change to include a Ram Selection Day based on feedback from clients. As flocks progress, producers need to fine tune selection. The Ram Selection Day simply allows clients to pick from the largest single offering of maternal rams in Australia, with the security of controlling numbers and price.
The LAMBPRO Ram Selection Day is a new concept in ram selling. Public auctions offer little price or quality security for clients. We believe it is important to offer clients the opportunity to fine-tune trait selection by being given access to a large base of rams.
To gain access to these rams, clients will need to send a ram order form back to LAMBPRO stipulating how many rams they wish to secure on the day. All rams will be committed by the day, with first in best dressed to gain access to the sale.
Once producers order, they can attend the LAMBPRO Ram Selection Day on sale day or bid on AuctionsPlus. The sale will be conducted by the traditional auction system. As a condition of the sale, to be a registered bidder, you will need to have completed the LAMBPRO Ram Order Forms.
The system allows equal access to LAMBPRO clients to the top rams, and more importantly allows clients to determine the valuable rams for their enterprise.

Rams are committed on a first-in, best-dressed basis. Securing your order registers you for the sale.
Bid on sale day via traditional auction in person or online via AuctionsPlus to select your specific rams.
Breeder’s Rights
Primeline Maternal & Primeline Crusader
LAMBPRO retains 100% breeder’s rights on all Primeline Maternal and Primeline Crusader rams and ewes sold. Progeny of these rams and ewes cannot be used in ram breeding programs of any kind.
Unauthorised breeding and marketing of such progeny as “Primeline” is strictly prohibited. This is to protect our investment in research and quality control of the Primeline Maternal and Primeline Crusader brand.
All LAMBPRO rams are DNA tested to ensure compliance.
Poll Dorset & Hampshire FX
LAMBPRO retains 100% breeder’s rights on all Poll Dorset and HampshireFX rams sold. Progeny of these rams, including both ewes and rams, cannot be used in ram breeding programs of any kind. This includes sons of Poll Dorset and HampshireFX rams purchased as flock rams.
Unauthorised breeding and sale of these animals is strictly prohibited. All LAMBPRO Poll Dorset and HampshireFX rams are DNA tested to ensure compliance.
